This Jeep was made at the end of 1956 in Toledo Ohio and first registered in Arizona as a 1957. My father, an elementary school principal and avid deer hunter, bought this car in 1958 from Galloway Motors when they were located on Stone Avenue. According to family legend, the Jeep had been bought new by someone working at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base but returned it to the dealer a year later when he was reassigned.
The front and rear bumpers were re-chromed in 1980.
The engine was rebuilt at Precision Engineering in 2001.
I repainted the car myself in 2002 in an open carport after removing the windows, bumpers, fenders, hood and tailgate. The paint used were codes used by Willys in 1959 to 1961.
Ride Show Schedule
I regularly take the Jeep to the Little Anthony's Car Show in Tucson Arizona.
